The Priest Lake Area is unique, not just for its natural beauty and year-round backcountry attractions, but also for the multiple jurisdictions within the Area. It lies within three counties, in two states, and borders Canada on the north. Priest Lake Search & Rescue, Inc. (PLSAR) was founded in 2001 recognizing this uniqueness, and the need for a highly skilled and well-disciplined SAR team at Priest Lake.
Huckleberry Festival 2009
HuckFest 2009 is on its way with more vendors, more arts & crafts, more food selections, more blue grass music, and even more supporters! PLSAR gives a big THANKS to the Priest Lake Community including all of our visitors, for attending and supporting HuckFest-08 last year! The Community's support (estimated at 2,000+) was overwhelming and made HuckFest a highly successful event. Let's do it again this year, but even bigger!!
As you may know, 2008 was PLSAR’s first year of conducting HuckFest which has now become our annual fund raiser. We owe a special debt of gratitude to the Priest Lake Golf Course and its staff for the excellent location and terrific support PLSAR received last year. This year’s HuckFest will again be held on Fairway #1 which includes grass with shade for a large percentage of our many vendors. We are enlarging the Vendor Venue area and look forward to seeing even more supporters for HuckFest 2009.
The Priest Lake Invitational Golf Tournament will be held the same day as HuckFest. Anyone interested in playing in the tournament should contact the Priest Lake Golf Course directly.
